Coralpoint Development Corporation (CDC) is a Philippine
corporation that was formed in 1993 to develop landmark real estate
projects in Cebu, specifically on Mactan Island. CDC’s first
major development was the Coralpoint Resort Village, an exclusive
beachfront condominium complex at Punta Engaño East, Mactan.
The project is definitely Cebu’s premiere condominium community
and is the only one of its kind in the Philippines. The management team of CDC is composed of Brian James, Chairman; and Efrain T. Pelaez, Jr., President.
Brian James, Civil Engineer, FIEE. FIMECH E, FCIBS is a British Chartered Engineer with over 40 years overseas experience in the United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Africa, and the Middle East and is based in Dubai, U.A.E. Efrain T. Pelaez Jr., is a successful food and real estate entrepreneur. His prior experience included financial services, consulting, investment banking and stock brokerage. After graduating with an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA in 1971, he worked as Registered Representative of the New York Stock Exchange with WE Hutton in New York, Philadelphia and then in Hongkong. After returning to the Philippines in 1975, he has concentrated on various food and real estate enterprises. He is part of an investor and management group that owns and operates over 20 specialty and fast-food restaurants throughout the Philippines. He is also part of an investor group that has built several commercial buildings and shopping centers in Cebu City.

Another
new landmark in Mactan is the Mactan Marina Mall, the new
town center of Lapu-lapu City. CDC was the successful bidder of this
prime 1.8 hectare corner property that is adjacent to the Mactan Export
Zone I (MEZ1) and is located at the main intersection of the Airport Road and
the Mactan Circumferential Road. It is two minutes from the airport.
The clock tower, now known as Discovery Tower, is the first landmark
that greets visitors to Mactan. Coralpoint
Properties, Inc., constructed the mall and handles management, leasing
and other commercial functions. It now has over 100 tenants including a Save More supermarket, several banks, pharmacies, a medical center, casual and fine dining restaurants, fast food outlets, boutiques and other retail shops.
MACTAN MARINA MALL is a few meters from the Cebu harbour and the Mactan Marina (Cebu Yacht Club). It was designed to serve the basic needs and demand for goods and services of the 40,000 MEZ1 employees, staff and service personnel, as well as the 160 companies within the Zone. Moreover, the mall also serves tourists and the 200,000 residents of Lapulapu City. Its location provides strategic access to the airport, the Mandaue-Mactan Bridge, Lapulapu City center and the beaches and tourist spots of Mactan.
The site is also near the new Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino. Two other hotels namely, the Bellavista, and Mactan Days Hotel are all within 500 meters of the mall. The Shangrila Mactan Island Resort and the new Hilton International Hotel are only 15 minutes away. Coralpoint Resort Village is only 25 minutes from the Mall.
